Crate Hire

Using and hiring crates is not a new concept, however, high delivery/collection costs normally means it is uneconomic to hire a few crates for a small do it yourself home or office move just for a couple of weeks or over a weekend. We aim to change that.

We offer crates for hire on a short term basis, with no minimum hire quantities. If you want just one crate we are happy to hire one to you, although we would prefer it to be more!

How can we do this?
We have purchased a number of clean second user industrial crates thus reducing our costs. Plus, you pick up the empty crates directly from our depot near Cranbrook, and return them to us when you have finished. (Having said that we are happy to deliver/collect within a reasonable distance, but you will have to pay extra!)

How much will it cost?
One week or less £2.50 +VAT per crate
Subsequent weeks (or part weeks) £1.00 +VAT per crate

Based on your anticipated hire period we expect advance cash payment from you when you collect your empty crates.

Do I have to pay a deposit?
People love our crates, and although we are happy for you to hire them, we would actually like to have them back at some point! We therefore charge a returnable £10 cash deposit per crate when you collect your crates.

What else do you need?
To ensure the return of our crates we will need a copy of ID on collection.

What happens if I damage or loose a crate?
We want you to use our crates for what they are meant for and expect normal wear and tear, however, if you damage or loose a crate, or bring it back filthy we may have to make a deduction from your deposit.

Can I buy the crates?
Yes, just ask about availability.

What happens when I return the crates?
We count them back in, check them over. Return your cash deposit and expect cash payment for any extra rental that may have been incurred.

What happens if I need more crates or need the crates longer than expected?
Just give us a call, we will try to help out wherever possible!
